Before you get started.
How much does your advice cost?
Nothing. As a broker, I'm paid a commission by the insurer, and your premium is the same as if you bought directly. The difference is that you have someone on your side, both when you choose and when you claim.
I'm an expat. Can I get health insurance in Panama?
Yes. There are local and international plans for foreigners living in Panama, and some require no medical exam if you're under 50. Age limits and pre-existing conditions matter a lot, so it pays to apply early. See the expat page for details.
What's the difference between a broker and buying directly?
A captive agent can only offer their own company's products. A broker compares plans from several carriers, tells you what fits your case, and represents you on claims, reimbursements and renewals.
Will you help me if I need to file a claim?
Yes, it's the most important part of my job. You message me, I tell you which documents are needed, and I follow up with the carrier until the claim is settled.
Do you work outside Panama City?
Yes. I work with clients all over the country, including Coronado and Boquete, by WhatsApp and video call, and in person whenever possible.
